Katherine Heigl reveals the ways that growing up in a 'white bubble' affected the way she raised her family of multiracial origins. She revealed in an interview recent interview that, when it comes to skin colour, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister who is adopted in South Korea she realized just how differently society treats people of different races. "I asked my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated one way when she went out in public with our parents and a different way in the time she was on her own without anyone else. Meg replied "Oh I do, each and every time!" That made me realize that I was so ignorant," Heigl said to Parents. She said that she was mad, but she felt the need to use this anger to support her daughters. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. and then Adalaide whom was eight years old older and was Black in 2012.
