Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson, an American actress, is known for her portrayals of Buffy Summers and Rebecca Becky Granger. Also, she played the roles in the telefilm Nightingales, the NBC series of similar name (which lasted only a few episodes), Erica Paget on the CBS show Early Edition, and Marlowe Viccellio on the TV show Psych. A native of California, Swanson was interested in acting since she was young. She began her career working in the field of advertising, appearing in multiple commercials. In one episode, she appeared in the NBC sitcom It's Your Move, in 1984. The big screen debut was two years after in the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. Swan was known for her lisp of blonde and breathless voice. She's recently shifted from playing main characters to side ones. Swan was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award in 1990 as the most promising acting talent in a thriller or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
