April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4th in 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking piano and guitar lessons. It was this that ignited her love for songwriting. April's very first song was called Different which she composed when she was 12 years old. When April was 14 years old, she devoted an enormous amount of time creating song ideas and perfecting the music. She began writing with her dad and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April included other subjects in her track"Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with things like peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide ideas. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with a growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia together, in addition to being a lifestyle expert. She was not born with a left hand, and that is why she's who she is. But that's far from the whole story. Because of this, her Instagram profile isn't afraid to talk about her handicap, however the focus isn't on it either. The message? There is more to us than our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and encompass a variety of dimensions. Lockhart is interviewed through video from Nashville. "I don't wish for it to dictate my personal life. I don't want to be merely recognized as an expert in disabilities. The issue doesn't affect my everyday routine. I carry on my business as usual and have developed my own methods to adjust. This is a major part of my life, and it's imperative to talk about it. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that can last a lifetime, but she has been a source of inspiration with regard to this. She admits that she has been through times when she was uncomfortable the way she dressed and showed her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you'll be in that place," she said. This is a process, and I don't think you ever get there. I think it's important to surround yourself with people who are able to identify and feel your heart.
